Aim and Scope
The Journal of Health Policy and Management (JHPM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal that publishes original research articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses on a four-monthly basis. Since its establishment on October 21, 2015, JHPM has served as a critical platform for disseminating high-quality, policy-relevant research that informs and influences health care systems and public health governance worldwide.

JHPM provides a forum for researchers, policy-makers, health care managers, public health professionals, and academics to engage with evidence-based insights into the formulation, implementation, and evaluation of health policy and management practices. The journal embraces multidisciplinary and integrative approaches to better understand complex health challenges and generate innovative, actionable solutions.

The scope of JHPM spans a wide array of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Health policy development and analysis
  • Health systems management and governance
  • Health economics and financing
  • Epidemiological research with policy implications
  • Public and social policy in health
  • Strategic health planning and administration
  • Equity and access in health care delivery
  • Ethical and philosophical dimensions of health policy
  • Global health policy and comparative health systems

JHPM welcomes rigorous research from scholars and practitioners across the globe, with a strong emphasis on contributions from low- and middle-income countries (LMICs). We especially encourage submissions that address urgent health system issues, propose innovative models of care, or evaluate health policy impacts in diverse settings.

By promoting dialogue across disciplines and geographies, the Journal of Health Policy and Management aims to foster practical knowledge, inform policy decisions, and support the advancement of efficient, equitable, and sustainable health systems worldwide.
